The 14th Guimbal Cabri G2 helicopter has been delivered to the UK – serial Number 1110 is registered as G-SDTL and will be owned and operated by the Gazelle Squadron Display Team Ltd, who, among other things, run the eponymous display team. The aircraft will be based at Bourne Park Airfield, three miles north of Andover in Hampshire, where it will be used primarily for flight training.

Acceptance of the aircraft took place on 11th September at the Hélicoptèrs Guimbal factory in Aix-en Provence. The ferry flight to the UK was conducted by Andy Stuart of The Gazelle Squadron Display Team and Andy Moorhouse of Cotswold Helicopter Centre the exclusive UK distributors for Hélicoptères Guimbal.

G-SDTL will be maintained by the sister company to the Gazelle Squadron Display Team, Bourne Park Aviation who are already fully approved to carry out maintenance on the Cabri G2.

“The delivery of this Cabri is special to us because we are good friends with guys in the Gazelle Squadron Display Team.” said Andy Moorhouse of Cotswold Helicopter Centre. “We have a further 9 Cabris on order with the Hélicoptères Guimbal factory so the UK fleet will expand to 23 aircraft within the next 12 months.”
