Register for the Upcoming AHS Rotorcraft Propulsion Meeting

2-Oct-2015 Source: AHS

The theme of the conference is “Innovative Propulsion Technologies Enabling Affordable Solutions for Next Generation Rotorcraft.” The meeting will consist of five unclassified, unrestricted sessions that will cover present research and development goals and accomplishments as well as futuristic ideas in rotorcraft propulsion for both manned and unmanned systems. The keynote presentation is by Dr. Joe Doychak, Associate Director for Aerospace Technology in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering.

Technical sessions will be focused on the following subjects: Propulsion Strategic Planning (Government Perspective), Propulsion Strategic Planning (Industry Perspective), Engine Technologies, Drive Systems Technologies and Sustainment Technologies. This meeting is a must for anyone involved in propulsion technology!

  • Every session is packed with interesting, need-to-know presentations. Check out the agenda at the Hampton Roads Chapter website: www.ahs-hrc.org.
  • The conference will be attended by substantial representations from government and industry.  The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC) has received approval to support meeting attendance at a level commensurate with past AHS Rotorcraft Propulsion meetings.  Other DoD agencies and NASA will also be attending. There will be a reception hosted by the exhibitors on Tuesday, October 27 and continental breakfasts and breaks in the Exhibit Hall where you will have the opportunity to discuss the latest technical breakthroughs and challenges with your peers.
  • Register now at the AHS website: www.vtol.org/propulsion. Everyone planning to attend should register in advance, whether you are a speaker, military or any other type of attendee. Conference badges will be required to attend the briefings and breaks. Don’t wait in line for your name badge! This also helps us in planning, to make sure that there is enough food & beverages, materials, etc.
  • Show your support by exhibiting! There are still very affordable exhibit spaces available for contractors and other organizations to present their products and services to the attendees.  Exhibit space is available at the cost of only $800 for a 10′ x 10′ booth and $400 for a 3′ x 10′ table located outside of the exhibit hall area. This is a great opportunity to share your capabilities with the propulsion community and help to support this and future AHS Hampton Roads Chapter meetings. More information on exhibits is found on the Hampton Roads Chapter website: www.ahs-hrc.org.

We look forward to seeing you in Hampton Roads!
