New Polish Government questions Airbus Helicopter H225M deal

Poland has recently completed a round of national elections, and the Law and Justice (PiS) party are now in power.  The country’s potential foreign minister Witold Waszczykowski yesterday questioned the country’s initial deal with Airbus to buy H225M helicopters as the contract would only leave “leftovers” for Polish producers.   While a provisional deal for 50 H225M Caracal helicopters has been signed, the final $3 billion contract has not, and PiS has repeatedly said it would prefer local manufacture, which the both under-bidders Sikorsky and AgustaWestland are ready to provide.  see full story
