A new Chief Executive Officer will soon be leading the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Charitable Trust. Karen Jobling will soon take over the helm of our Charity.

Our long serving CEO, Peter Aldrick, who has overseen the successful expansion and development of the life-saving service during the past 16 years, will retire in mid-January 2016.

Karen has 25 years’ experience at senior leadership and management level in the Charity and Fundraising sector, nationally and internationally. She joins the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Charitable Trust from World Cancer Research Fund International / UK where she was Executive Director. Brought up on the Isle of Wight, Karen, a commissioned officer graduate from RAF Cranwell, completed a six year commission as a fighter controller serving in the UK and abroad before moving into senior roles in the Charity sector. Karen is married, lives in Aubourn near Lincoln and describes her hobbies as flying (she has a private pilot’s licence) walking, skiing and the great outdoors.

“It will be a huge privilege to lead the Trust and I am very excited at the opportunity to build on the excellent work already achieved by the trustees, staff and volunteers,” said Karen.

In welcoming Karen into her new role as CEO, joint chairmen of our Trustees, Jonty Pearson and Jack O’Hern, also paid tribute to shortly departing CEO Peter Aldrick:

“Karen Jobling will be joining the Trust at an important pivotal time as we prepare for the arrival of a new helicopter with improved passenger and medical provision and the expansion of flying hours including night flying across the two counties. We are fortunate to have secured the services of Karen who has the right experience, qualities and motivation to ensure we together will provide the best possible service which is vital to our patients and the public in the months and years to come,” said the chairmen.

“We would also like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to all the hard work Peter Aldrick has done, who together with staff and volunteers, has ensured the Charity’s remarkable growth and development over the past 16 years. We wish him all the very best in his forthcoming retirement and thank him for all the achievements he has overseen as CEO, which have ensured the success of the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance service we value today.”
