The KVH Memorial Foundation presented a check for $32,000 to CEO Leslie Hiebert and the KVH Commissioners for the Helipad construction fund at the hospital. The donation comes from money raised during the past two Black Tie & Blue Jeans Dinner and Auction events that were sponsored by the Memorial Foundation.

“The Foundation Board worked diligently on this year’s event, and to have such a successful fundraising effort is very rewarding,'” said KVHMF President Ivy Velarde. “Our thanks go to all those who joined us for the fun, and for their generosity to our community!”

The helipad is expected to be operational in late November.

The Klickitat Valley Hospital Memorial Foundation was founded in 1989 as a nonprofit corporation to assist Klickitat Valley Health in meeting the health needs of the local community.

The Foundation provides an opportunity for tax exempt donations that fund medical equipment and facility enhancement, health education scholarships, and services that promote healthy lifestyles. By supporting the Foundation’s educational activities, volunteerism and fundraising, we can all help our Public Health District remain competitive in the marketplace and succeed as a quality rural healthcare provider.
