FLYING Magazine announced in its January 2016 issue that Aspen’s Evolution Angle of Attack (AOA) Indicator has been honored by being named an Editors’ Choice recipient for 2015. The designation of “Editors’ Choice” is given each year to companies which “have had a positive impact on general aviation during the previous year” and added, “It’s the stamp of approval pilots look for when shopping for avionics…”

In the announcement, FLYING editors wrote: “OK, we admit we were skeptical of this one when Aspen announced it earlier this year. Then we flew with the company’s software-only angle of attack indicator and became believers.”

Announced at the Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA) national convention in April 2015, just four months elapsed from its introduction to certification.
