Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa visited the Russian Helicopters stand on the first day of the exhibition, which is being held at the Sahir air base from January 21-23. According to RIA Novosti, he expressed interest in the Russian helicopters presented at the airshow.

At the exhibition, the holding company is presenting the latest multipurpose Russian helicopters, such as Ansat, Ka-32A11VS, Mi-171A2, and Ka-226T. Representatives of Russian Helicopters will also hold talks with existing and potential customers from the Middle East and North Africa.

One of the key areas for negotiations will be the development of an integrated system of aftersales equipment service for the lifespan of the helicopters. The current fleet of Soviet- and Russian-produced civil and military helicopters in Middle Eastern countries numbers more than 500. The ability to carry out maintenance and repair work in the region will allow operators to significantly reduce costs.

The Bahrain International Airshow has been held since 2010. This year, in addition to Russian Helicopters, delegations from the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, Rosoboronexport, and United Aircraft Corporation are also participating in the exhibition.
