Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada – Heli-One, a leading global provider of helicopter maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, was selected by South Korea’s National 119 to provide a 12-month inspection for their Airbus H225 helicopter. National 119 is the primary provider of firefighting and rescue services in South Korea, flying a fleet of Airbus aircraft.
With approval from the Korean Civil Aviation Authority, a Heli-One team from Stavanger, Norway, carried out the 12-month inspection on-site at National 119’s facility in Seoul. Heli-One’s technicians completed the inspection in February 2016.

This was the second inspection provided by Heli-One for National 119, with the first completed in December 2014. Heli-One holds an Approved Maintenance Organisation certificate with the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT).

“Operating a fleet of rescue aircraft means keeping all of our helicopters flying is critical to our ability to save lives,” said a spokesperson for National 119.  “Heli-One’s expertise with the H225 aircraft and ability to perform this inspection at our facility will enable us to quickly return the helicopter to vital service.”

“We are persistent in developing and applying maintenance and service solutions tailored to the specific needs of our customers,” said Anthony DiNota, President of Heli-One. “Our continued relationship providing National 119 with on-site MRO services allows us to simplify planning and reduce turnaround times.”
