HAC is Pleased to Announce “Chickenhawk” Author to be HAC’s Convention 2016 Keynote Luncheon Speaker

As you may know, Robert Mason has agreed to be HAC’s Keynote Luncheon speaker in 2016, at our Edmonton Convention, November 11-13 at the Shaw Convention Centre and the Westin Edmonton. We are delighted to have Robert and his wife, Patience as our guests in Edmonton!

For many people including myself, who learned to fly in the mid-eighties, the book Chickenhawk was required reading. My copy was passed to me – already dog-eared by two other helicopter pilots. Chickenhawk became a New York Times Best-Seller in 1984 and remained on the list for 17 weeks.

Chickenhawk chronicles the life of Robert Mason – from his early life and experiences learning to fly helicopters, through his combat experience in Vietnam. He has had a fascinating life, including an ill fated post-war attempt at smuggling marijuana in to the United States by boat, and more recent efforts by himself and his wife Patience to help others struggling with PTSD to cope with the disorder as they reintegrate back in to the real world.

HAC is making arrangements for a Book Signing by Robert on the trade show floor in YEG, where you will have a chance to meet Robert. I plan to ask Robert to sign my dog-eared, coffee stained version…You can do the same – or buy a new copy on the trade show floor.
