CHC Helicopter (“CHC”) announced today that it has licensed the AirVault Maintenance Records Management Solution, a new, web-based aircraft maintenance record management system for their entire fleet maintenance operations.

AirVault is a proven mission-critical cloud-based electronic document management system designed to manage the digital content and bi-directional processes of aircraft maintenance records for the world’s largest airlines, MROs, and OEMs.  The AirVault platform provides CHC a global conduit and storage service for digital document management, connecting their internal maintenance operations, Heli-One services division, and suppliers, offering improved operational efficiencies in meeting the regulatory requirements of the international aviation industry.

Commenting on this initiative, Raymond Bennett, CHC’s Vice President of Maintenance and Technical Services, stated “CHC’s selection of AirVault’s cloud-based technology streamlines and simplifies the management of our aircraft maintenance documentation for our employees and worldwide network of external suppliers and regulators by replacing our old paper processes with a complete digital solution.”

CHC closely examined AirVault’s operational and technical best practices in use at some of the largest airlines and helicopter fleets in the world and determined that the system could be easily configured for the unique requirements of CHC.  AirVault’s pre-built integration to CHC’s current maintenance and engineering system, Swiss-AS AMOS, securely maintains a synchronized cache of key AMOS data related to work packages, work orders, parts orders, and parts transactions to support document index augmentation, and audit reconciliation of scanned and received records.

AirVault CEO, John Oldham, said, “We are honored by CHC’s choice of AirVault as their information management service for aircraft maintenance.  AirVault shares CHC’s vision of using advanced technology to improve their aircraft maintenance operations to provide safe, dependable air transportation to their customers.  AirVault’s cloud-computing technology offers CHC significant economic and competitive advantages by connecting the internal and external operations of a large, highly distributed global fleet, and centralization of software configuration, administration, support, and computer processing.”
