CHC Helicopter has signed a contract with the Australian Army to provide them with aeromedical evacuations, crash response support and search and rescue for 21 months. The CHC will use their fleet of Sikorsky S-76s and Bell 412s, reports Australian Aviation. CHC Regional Director Asia Pacific Nick Mair reports that they have been working with RAAF for years and are more than happy to extend such services to the Australian Army.
Medical Rescue Air Ambulance will be providing CHC with a doctor and paramedic for the medical teams. CHC’s services reach New South Wales, Western Australia, Queensland and Victoria.
