Choppair has been issued to pay Emma Bobridge, the pilot of the Bell Helicopter that crashed in 2013, a sum of over $200 000. Emma Bobridge reported negligence by Choppair, she claimed that it felt that her right skid was stuck on the landing mat during take-off.

Company Director Micheal Van Der Zypp countered her report, claiming that the accident was caused by a loose ballast bag blocking the controls and that Emma had not secured it, reports Herald Sun. The court agreed that Emma’s account seemed more probable and issued Michael van der Zypp to return to court for a penalty hearing in a month’s time.
