Airbus Helicopters Japan has signed a contract for one H125 with Mikikanko Co., ltd. This is a milestone deal, with the company purchasing a helicopter for the very first time. The real estate company will use the proven Ecureuil family aircraft mainly for its existing and new businesses. The delivery is scheduled in 2017.

A signing ceremony was held today at the Japan International Aerospace Exhibition 2016, in the presence of Takeshi Asakawa, Representative Director of Mikikanko and Stéphane Ginoux, President of Airbus Helicopters Japan.

“We are extremely excited to introduce Airbus Helicopters’ H125 as our first helicopter. The aircraft will be our important workhorse to be deployed for our current and new businesses,” said Takeshi Asakawa, Representative Director of Mikikanko. “We are looking forward to building a long-term business relationship with Airbus Helicopters Japan.”

“We are very pleased that Mikikanko has selected our H125. The versatile and high performance H125 is ideal for various aerial work missions,” said Stephane Ginoux, President of Airbus Helicopters Japan. “We are confident that our popular H125 will play a key role in the company’s business success.” The H125 is a member of the rugged and proven Ecureuil family.

The H125 outclasses all other single-engine helicopters for performance, versatility, safety, low maintenance and low acquisition costs, and is mainly used for aerial work and high performance missions in high & hot conditions around the world. In 2005, it broke the world record for the highest-altitude landing and takeoff, performed on Mount Everest at 8,850 meters (29,035 feet). There are currently over 5,000 Ecureuil flying worldwide.
