Bell is happy to report that although five staff members were let go recently due to market flux, their Amarillo facility is still the “centre of excellence for military aircraft assembly.” They are currently producing 20 V-22 a year, with officials stating that they are good on budget and ahead of schedule.

They had a contract with the Marine Corps and Air Force for 40 V-22s for five years, which occurred in 2012-2013, reports ABC 7 News. The Amarillo base will have potential work cut out for them with the upcoming H-1 production, the 525 and the V280.
