Russian Helicopters, part of State Corporation Rostec, will showcase its latest developments during one of Asia’s largest aviation exhibition, which is taking place November 1-6 at the China International Aviation Exhibition Center in Zhuhai, China.

During China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition-2016 Russian Helicopters specialists will demonstrate a range of its civil helicopters models and feature latest products.  Visitors will be able to see medevac Ansats, a multi-purpose Mi-171A2 and a firefighting Ka-32A11BC.

“China is Russia’s reliable partner in the helicopter industry and a major operator of Russian helicopters in the Asia-Pacific region.  The Chinese market shows stable growth and demand for reliable, multipurpose helicopters of various types. We are offering not only a diversified range of rotorcraft but also all necessary support including after-sales service, “- said Russian Helicopters CEO Alexander Mikheev.

Exhibitors will have a tight business schedule.  Russian Helicopters will hold a series of meetings and negotiations with a goal of expanding bilateral cooperation with China.  Russian specialists will also have presentations of the Mi-26TS, Mi-171A2, Mi-38, Ansat and Ka-32A11BC for commercial companies and government agencies in China and will focus on Russian helicopters’ after-sales service system for rotorcraft that is already in operation in China.

In addition, the holding company has announced a “Russian Hour” – a regularly held event to promote the Russian helicopter industry in the global markets. It is organized by the Helicopter Industry Association and is sponsored by Russian Helicopters.

The “Russian Hour” in China will cover capabilities of new and upgraded Russian-made helicopters in relation to the interests of Chinese operators. Representatives from Russian Helicopters will talk in details about the multirole Mi-171 helicopter equipped with Klimov VK-2500 engine, the heavy transport Mi-26TS model and a new light Ansat, as well as about the system of after-sales service.

Light twin-engine multipurpose Ansat was developed by Kazan Helicopter Plant and is designed to carry 7-9 people. In December 2014 Ansat was approved to receive a hydromechanical control system, which allowed to transport passengers by this type of aircraft. In May 2015 the medevac version of Ansat was approved while the VIP version was certified in December 2015.  In June 2016 the helicopter’s take-off weight was raised up to 3,600 kg.  Ability to quickly modify this helicopter and change its equipment allows the Ansat to meet the challenges of both the civilian and military market.

The prospective multi-purpose Mi-171A2 helicopter is designed based on best technologies available for the helicopter industry and meets necessary safety requirements and environmental standards. Its modern avionics allows the helicopter to operate around the clock, in adverse weather conditions and to fly over water.

The Ka-32A11BC is one of the best search and rescue helicopters in the world.  Its advanced  performance characteristics allow this helicopter to carry out search and rescue missions during  high turbulence and high winds.  In addition, the helicopter is able to fly through thick smoke and dust clouds and can be used to evacuate people from skyscrapers roofs in case of fire. The Ka-32A11BC is already certified in China and has great potential in the Asia-Pacific market, which requires quality and versatile helicopters.  Previously, Russian Helicopters had delivered 11 Ka-32s to various Chinese customers. In 2015, three units were delivered and contracts to supply  seven Ka-32A11BCd and two Mi-171s were signed.
