Simrik Air’s new Bell 407 GXP with the call sign of 9N-ALT completed its first flight. It took off from Kathmandu and landed at Langtang, with 5 passengers and piloted by Capt. Siddhartha Jung Gurung. This first flight commences its commercial use.
The helicopter fits up to six passengers and with a glass flight deck and bulbul windows, it makes for a scenic flight. It has a 643 KW FADEC Rolls Royce 250-C47B/8 turbo engine. It can reach speeds of 624 hours an hour, with a maximum cargo weight of 1160kg, reports Aviation Nepal.
