Boeings new Boscombe Down base will bring 1,500 jobs to the local community. They hope to have their number of staff up from 1,300 to 4,000 by 2025. The new base is being constructed due to the contract Boeing signed with the Government for 50 AH-64E Apache helicopters. As reported by Andover Advertiser, the new base will work in tandem with QinetiQ, a defence technology firm.
