Metro Aviation introduced its Leadership Education, Advancement and Development (LEAD) conference in 2016 to help its partners navigate the business side of air medical operations.  Realizing that many program directors are clinicians and not business majors, Metro’s management team developed the event to help fill the gaps between medical knowledge and business management, and equip its family of traditional, hospital-based programs with the tools needed to thrive in a competitive market.

Metro’s upper management hosted nearly all of its operations customers in Shreveport, Louisiana for the second LEAD conference to spend their time discussing billing and reimbursement, air medical finance, marketing, competition, operational control and more.  “Our commitment to our air medical partners is not just about operating and maintaining aircraft,” says Director of Business Integration Todd Stanberry.  “We are dedicated to ensuring they thrive in their respective markets and the networking that comes out of these gatherings is nothing short of amazing.  We have learned from our partners that, being part of the Metro family is truly one of their most valued resources and we are thrilled to provide a venue that enables them to spend much-needed face time with us, and with each other.”

Since 2012, Metro Aviation has hosted the Metro Aviation Customer Symposium (MACS), an event that also brings the family together to network in a more casual environment, receive industry updates and learn more about aircraft operations.  LEAD is a new program on the calendar, focused on providing tools for success and advancement of its hospital partners’ individual programs and the overall health of the traditional, hospital-based program.
