Defence officials and commanders of the British Army are underway with plans to relocate their attack helicopter forces. Currently the forces are in East Anglia and they hope to move them to a newer base that is closer to the Salisbury Plain training centre. Included in this plan is to downsize of the number of airfields used by the force. This is a part of the UK Joint Helicopter Command’s review in attempts to reduce operating costs of the Army Air Corps, Fleet Air Arm and the Royal Air Force, reports IHS Jane.
