CHI Aviation Awarded Contract With USTRANSCOM

CHI Aviation is pleased to announce it has been selected to provide helicopter airlift support for the U.S. military in Afghanistan. This mission is to include tactical troop transport, internal and external cargo operations.

In a statement by Chris Turner, President, “We are very pleased to have been awarded this contract and this only reinforces the well-earned reputation our team has in the heavy-lift arena. CHI was part of the MEGA 50 contract and is fully prepared to return. As a veteran-owned business, we appreciate the opportunity to support our troops over there.”

Patrick Pilolla, CHI Aviation’s Director of Business Development, commented, “Given our 135 and 133 operations, 36 accident free years as an operator along with our CARB certificate (Commercial Airlift Review Board/ Air Mobility Command) and excellent past performance ratings with USTRANSCOM, we are fully prepared to go.”
