Sikorsky hopes to gain a 200 export order for their new CH-53K King Stallion heavy lift helicopter. Both Germany and Israel are looking to replace their aging fleets of CH-53s with Sikorsky’s newest CH-53K King Stallion. Germany seems the most likely opportunity, as they plan to release a RFP by 2018. Their competition for the sale would be against the Boeing CH-47 Chinook. As reported by Flight Global though, it has been suggested that the Chinook will not be sold internationally for roughly nine more years.
