Police were called recently in Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy after a worker from the charity organisation HELP Appeal was canvassing in the area, asking residents for their bank details and donations. He claimed he was raising money for a much needed helipad at Victoria Hospital. But both NHS Fife and HELP Appeal have confirmed that there are no such plans. The man in question was fired from his position in the company, and all money he received will be refunded as soon as possible, along with the company’s unreserved apologies, reports The Courier.
