The Kaweah Delta Healthcare District will be celebrating their 1,000^th helicopter landing this Friday. The hospital’s helipad was built in 2013, cutting transportation time down drastically. The community played a large role in getting the much needed helipad up and running. They received donations of up to $2.3 million from the community and a sponsorship by First 5 Tulare County funded by Proposition 10. All in all it took $2.7 million to build the helipad. Kaweah Delta will be holding an event to celebrate this Friday at 10 am, under the helipad, reports Visalia Times Delta.
