Milford Sound is receiving a new helipad thanks to funding requests by Environmental Southland. Due to the many medical evacuations that occur at Milford Sound, the need for a hardened helipad area was growing. The new helipad will be build next to the visitor terminal. The accumulated funds came to $17,000 reports Stuff.
