Representatives of Genesys Aerosystems announced today that the company has appointed general aviation avionics industry veteran Nick Bogner as the company’s new Director of Business Development.
“We are extremely excited to be able to attract Nick to our senior management team,” stated Genesys Aerosystems President and CEO Roger Smith. “We are on the threshold of a number of key product development projects and those efforts will only benefit from adding Nick’s enviable blend of product engineering and general aviation avionics industry experience.”
Prior to joining Genesys Aerosystems, Bogner had served as the Vice President of Engineering at Bendix/King since 2012. Before that he ad served as the VP and Chief Operating Officer for Dynon Avionics fir 12 years.
“Joining the Genesys team is an exceptional opportunity for me,” Bogner said. “We have outstanding products for both the fixed-wing and helicopter markets and are in the process of introducing two new digital flight control systems for Part 23 and Part 25 aircraft types.  This is a very exciting time to join a very forward-thinking company.”
In addition to his broad experience in leadership roles with leading avionics manufacturers, Bogner has also served on the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) Technical Policy Committee and the Electronic Systems Subcommittee. He has also been a committee member with the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and served as a member of the FAA Part 23 Reorganization Aircraft Rulemaking Committee.
