LifeFlight helicopters have not been authorized to land at Nova Scotia hospital helipads since April 2016, due to changing regulations by Transport Canada. Now, however, two new Sikorsky S-76 C+ helicopters are ready to go into service. Nova Scotians have commented how the new helicopters will help save lives as they will be able to land on hospital helipads, cutting transport time down drastically, reports Global News.
