Lockheed has sent a request to the Pentagon for funding of $212 million that would go towards a $9 billion Sikorsky purchase. Lockheed has said that the purchase will enable taxpayers to save $8 in efficacies per $1 spent. The Department of Defence is currently auditing the request to ensure that the proposed savings do work out, reports Bloomberg.
