Two years ago, AgustaWestland filed a lawsuit against the US Army after they decided to Lakota helicopters from another competitor, Airbus, without holding a competition. This year however, they have decided to withdraw their lawsuit. A Leonardo representative has commented that they are, “disappointed that there was no competition in this case,” reports Navy Times.
