Christchurch Hospital has started a campaign to raise $1 million in order to build a helipad on top of their west tower. It takes patients 13 minutes to get to the hospital in a ground ambulance from the helipad in Hagley Park. The Rātā Foundation has proposed to put forward $500,000 if the Māia Health Foundation can raise the rest, reports Stuff.
