Heli-Alps has recently bought a Bell 505. The company opened a flying school in 1987 and used their R22, R44 and Colibri for the pilots. Pilots have to fly a turbine helicopter after they have completed their pilot licence. The school provided their EC120 or AS350 for this, but the use of them was quite expensive. Having the B505 in their fleet gives them the opportunity to provide a turbine helicopter at a better price, reports Eban Magazine.
