Damaged in emergency landing near Vaishno Devi shrine - remaining mostly undamaged and relatively upright into the trees/shrubs into which it fell. Minor injuries to 7 POB, named as pilot A S Parmar and passengers Anita Puri, Meenakshi, Arun Kumar, Arti Devi, Raj Rani and Chetan Kumar. Sources vary, but most report a technical issue shortly after take-off and the pilot electing to put the helicopter down asap.

Crash landed at Ranchi Airport due to tail rotor problems. Local reports suggest that pilot made a high speed landing on wheels and the helicopter then turned over up to six times as a result of this landing. However, it meant that all survived and the 6 POB have already been declared "out of danger" by Apollo Hospital. Occupants included Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda and his wife Meera.
Reg VT-VKS assumed as this is the only 109 operated by Aryan Aviation (stated as the operator of the crashed aircraft) and the DGCA record for VT-VKS corroborates the age of the aircraft from reports

A BSF (Border Security Force) helicopter on anti-Naxal duty crashed on the outskirts of Ranchi today, killing two pilots and a technician on board. The Dhruv was going to Chaibasa from Ranchi when its engine caught fire and it crashed in Khunti jungle, a senior BSF official said. Aircraft completely burnt out. Pilot named as Captain K V Thomas (52), and co-pilot as S P Singh Bhandal, age 55

A Border Security Force helicopter crashed in Sirohi district of Rajasthan killing the pilot and three others. The helicopter crashed at 3 pm near Bahadurpura village. A team of officials from Mount Abu reached the crash site and all the bodies, which are badly burnt, have been recovered. The killed are identifed as pilot Colonel (retd) Bal, co-pilot deputy commandant Vivek Chaudhary, engineer SS Chopra and sub inspector Sohanlal.

The Cheetah helicopter was on a routine air maintenance sortie when the crash landing took place at 0810 hours, IAF sources said in New Delhi. Defence Ministry sources said the two pilots on board the helicopter were injured and were evacuated to Leh for treatment.
