During winch operations, something occurred at the bottom of the line which has necessitated the cutting of the winch line and releasing it from the helicopter. Four people were killed when the police helicopter crashed into the Miyun reservoir in a northern suburb of Beijing. Five crew members were aboard the helicopter that was returning from a rescue drill above the mountainous region of Miyun County with two other helicopters. One crew member has been saved.
