During winch operations, something occurred at the bottom of the line which has necessitated the cutting of the winch line and releasing it from the helicopter. As a result, paramedic Michael Wilson on the end of the line received injuries from which he died. No implication on the helicopter itself, more about the environment.

Four people were killed when the police helicopter crashed into the Miyun reservoir in a northern suburb of Beijing.
