Air Ambulance statistics from Finland in 2015 show a notable increase with 6% more patients treated over 2014, even though the number of calls responded to was down 5% to 13,748.  Deeper analysis shows 1,494 patients received critical assistance, of which 172 would probably have died before reaching the hospital without an air ambulance response….
