Mercy Flight Western New York have this week opened a new facility in Springville, behind the Bertrand Chaffee Hospital. Badly damaged when fell off the trailer it was being transported on Interstate 90.  Road conditions were snowy.  Helicopter was withdrawn in 2011 and has been sold to a new owner in Australia.  It still appears to be carrying old registration N505TJ (since taken up by a new Bell 429) and not its reassigned reg N585TJ.

Mercy Flight accuses police helicopters of stealing emergency calls for publicity

Mercy Flight Central claims Onondaga County’s Air One helicopter and the state police helicopter in the area are jumping calls — responding to medical emergencies before Mercy Flight has a chance to go — for emergency transports and putting patients in danger.
