The Japanese Defense Minister, Itsunori Onodera, announced last Friday that he has expectations that the US Military will suspend all CH-53E flights in Okinawa for an indefinite period. This was after the crash that occurred on Wednesday, where the aircraft caught alight during flight, reports Kyodo News.

Although the helicopter traffic has fallen further, the passenger numbers at Aberdeen Airport are increasing. They had a year-on-year increase of 3.9%, reports BBC. The helicopter traffic has decreased by 8.2%, with little over 32, 100 passengers this year.
