Russian Proposal for Service Centre in Sri Lanka

The Deputy Chief of the Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation has announced that they proposing a service centre in Sri Lanka for Russian-made helicopters. Sri Lanka has a large number of Russian-made helicopters, including 12 Mi-8/17 helicopters, 36 BMP-2 vehicles, 6 Mi-24Ps and roughly 50 BTR-80 carriers, reports Sri Lanka Guardian.

January 2018 has now been decided, by the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority, as the deadline for the certification of all private and commercial helipads, with the exception of hi-rise towers. This certification process began in 2012, with the first certification being the helipad atop Dubai’s Burj Al Arab, reports Arabian Business.

Dartmouth Hitchcock’s Advance Response Team (DHART) has recently added a new EC-135 helicopter to their team. Costing $6 million, the craft has the latest safety features and instruments.
