The helicopter entered a high hover to blow away snow accumulation at the scene. During the manoeuvre a white out condition was created. The main rotor contacted trees. Control of the helicopter was maintained and a landing was performed immediately. There were no injuries. The helicopter sustained damage to all 4 rotor blades.

$25M in ORNGE money unaccounted for

$25M in ORNGE money unaccounted for

Roughly $25 million dollars raised by Ornge with Ontario taxpayers’ help cannot be accounted for.  Investigators, financial and criminal, are digging into the case to see if the money was blown on a spending spree, bad business decisions or if some of it lined executives’ pockets. (see full story)
