On Aug. 31, 1984, Pegasus, the University of Virginia Health System’s chopper, carried an accident victim from Louisa County to the hospital. Today, that would hardly merit a batted eyelid. In 1984, it was revolutionary, as Pegasus, the medical chopper, made its first flight.
