United Rotorcraft Solutions (URS), Heli-Expo Booth #1617, will display a customised Air Medical Bell 407 one of two they completed for HALO-Flight of Corpus Christi.

URS will also have on display an MD500 panel they modified with the Sagem ICDS-8 cockpit display.

The 407 is configured with Chelton’s synthetic EFIS, provisions for Chelton Auto Pilot, WSI AV-300 Satellite Weather and Avidyne TAS 610 Traffic Advisory System, the Honeywell KRA405B Radar Altimeter, dual Garmin Comms and a Garmin Transponder, two Technisonic TDFM-136 VHF transceivers for the medical crew, Technisonic A711 and A710 audio, a Motorola 800MzFM, the SkyConnect Tracker with 11 channel SOP Dialer for flight following the URS/Ahlers STC’d Night Vision modifications.

The LifePort medical interior is installed along with some highly customized features such as the Zoll mount and Balloon Pump mount designed and certified by URS. The airframe is fitted with the Paravion air conditioning and bleed air heater/defroster, AAI Super Night Scanner and the AFS Inlet Barrier Filter.

With the cooperation and support of Sagem Avionics Inc. (SAFRAN Group) and MD Helicopters, URS has designed and integrated the Sagem ICDS-8 Integrated Cockpit Display System in the MD500. This installation removes the standard instrumentation and replaces them with a Sagem 8.4 inch Primary Flight Display (PFD) and a Multi-Function Display (MFD) that interfaces with aircraft systems to provide a centralized display for integration, computation, and control.

URS will also have a Heli-Expo special on FAA TSO’d night vision goggles. They will be taking orders for these goggles for a sales price of only $9,000.00 per set which are immediately available while supplies last.
