Rolls-Royce recognizes excellence with Model 250 FIRST networkâ„¢ awards

Rolls-Royce, the global power systems company, today announced winners for awards recognizing excellence in the Model 250 Full-service Integrated Rolls-Royce Support Team (FIRST) network.  The Model 250 FIRST network, consisting of thirty-three full-service engine and component repair and overhaul (R&O) facilities, offers full-capability R&O support to 4,000 operators of Model 250 turboshaft and turboprop engines around the world.
Ken Roberts, President of the Rolls-Royce Helicopter Engine business, said: “I’d like to congratulate the 2010 Model 250 FIRST network award winners for their achievements.  We are proud of the performance and continuous improvement they, and all the members of the Model 250 FIRST network team, demonstrate.”
The awards highlight five categories of achievement and winners were announced at an awards reception held during Heli Expo 2010.

Model 250 Program Investment:

Authorized Maintenance Centers (AMCs) with the most investment to improve their unique contribution to the Model 250 program. Investments include primary facility improvements (machinery, buildings, tooling) and people.
Winner: Cadorath Aerospace Lafayette

Customer Satisfaction:

AMCs with the highest customer satisfaction rating overall.
Winners: AeroMaritime America
StandardAero Winnipeg

Going the Extra Mile:

AMCs demonstrating how they have gone “well above the normal call of duty” for a single, customer focused event.
Winners: AeroMaritime Mediterranean
Keystone Engine Services
National Airways Corp
Premier Turbines
StandardAero Concorde

AMC Total Quality:

AMCs implementing a program focused on improving the internal and external processes that directly impact the customer.
Winners: StandardAero Winnipeg
Vector Aerospace

AMC Family Teamwork:

AMCs that have “bonded together” independent of Rolls-Royce involvement, sharing parts, rental assets etc to fulfill customer requirements.
Winner: H+S Aviation
