Elbit wins Boeing Excellence Award for Apache Integrated Helmet and Display Sight System

FORT WORTH, TEXAS, March 3, 2010 – Elbit Systems of America, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ:  ESLT)  has been awarded the Silver Level of recognition by The Boeing Company for superior performance in 2009.

Elbit Systems of America, Service and Support Solutions’ (International Enterprises, Inc.) repair facility in Warner Robins, Georgia earned the recognition for product support work performed on the Integrated Helmet and Display Sight System (IHADSS). The IHADSS system is used on the U.S. Army AH-64 Apache helicopters and provides the pilot and co-pilot information from the Forward-Looking Infrared (FLIR) sensors which are part of the helicopter’s Target Acquisition and Designation System/Pilot’s Night Vision System (TADS/PNVS). The IHADSS enables night navigation or navigation under adverse weather conditions, while its electro-optics head tracking system controls the movement of aircraft sensors and weapons. Elbit Systems of America, through its Services and Support business unit provides worldwide depot repair capabilities for all IHADSS systems for both the U.S. Army and international users around the globe.

The award is based on criteria implemented by The Boeing Company including, maintaining a minimum Silver Composite performance rating for each month of the 12-month performance period, from Oct. 1, 2008 to Sept. 30, 2009. This year, Boeing recognized 486 suppliers wherica, Service and Support Solutions’ (International Enterprises, Inc.) repair facility in Warner Robins, Georgia earned the recognition for product support work performed on the Integrated Helmet and Display Sight System (IHADSS).
