Helicopter Association International (HAI) President Matt Zuccaro will appear before the House Aviation Subcommittee on Wednesday, March 17 at 2:00 p.m. (eastern standard time) to provide testimony on the FAA’s oversight of on-demand aircraft operators.
Congressman Jerry F. Costello, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Aviation, has called this hearing to discuss the findings of a Department of Transportation Inspector General Report issued in July of 2009. The IG’s findings were that on-demand operators have less stringent safety requirements and oversight than large commercial air carriers.
The hearing will be broadcast live on the Internet beginning at 2:00 p.m. eastern standard time. To obtain a link to the proceedings, visit www.house.gov, click on House Transportation Committee, and follow the links to the live simulcast of the House Aviation Subcommittee.
