Guardian Mobility announced its role as primary subcontractor to Globaltouch (West Africa) Limited to provide Guardian mapping and aircraft tracking solutions to aircraft operators in Nigeria. Globaltouch (West Africa) is the sole supplier for aircraft tracking in Nigeria with a satellite ground station located on Nigerian soil. The company has been awarded a contract by the NCAA to construct its primary aircraft monitoring facility at NCAA headquarters in Abuja where aircraft will be monitored using Guardian Mapping.

Guardian Mobility devices will be installed on fixed wing and rotary aircraft throughout Nigeria. Guardian Mobility has the ability to outfit a wide range of aircraft with portable or fixed devices and a variety of antenna configurations. Guardian 3, the world’s most widely used portable aircraft tracking device, has been recently improved with enhanced firmware and features flexible installation options for fixed wing and helicopter operators.
Flight tracking is now mandated in Nigeria on all registered aircraft to improve air travel and aviation safety. Aircraft operators will benefit from this country-wide implementation with the derived ability to obtain current and historical location and status information on their entire fleet of aircraft with Guardian Mapping. The introduction of aircraft tracking will permit operators to implement fleet management solutions and to experience enhanced operations and improved profitability.
