Dytran Instruments has recently expanded their line of airborne accelerometers, designed for use in Health and Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS) as well as Rotor Track and Balance (RTB) applications typically found on commercial and military aircraft. The Dytran model 3237A2 is a new model of IEPE-type accelerometers and is offered with a sensitivity of 25 mV/g.

For rotor track & balance, the model 3237A2 features an axial military 3-pin D38999 connector and ¼-28 stud mount. With an upper frequency response of 20,000 Hz (+15%), model 3237A2 is ideal for use in helicopter structural health monitoring applications, as well as for use within aircraft locations which are typically subjected to higher frequencies.

Model 3237A2 is hermetically sealed, for reliable operation within high-humidity and dirty environments, as well as case-isolated to avoid ground loop interference.
