American Eurocopter extends deadline for Vision Zero Aviation Safety Award applications

June 15, 2010 Grand Prairie, Texas – American Eurocopter has announced that the deadline to apply for the fourth annual Vision Zero Aviation Safety Award has been extended until June 21, 2010. This prestigious award aims to promote aviation safety within the air medical community and American Eurocopter will contribute up to $10,000 to the winner to further their safety efforts.

Bill Bryant, the Chairman of the Blue Ribbon Committee explained, “We realize that we are at the start of the vacation season and we want to extend our deadline to make sure that every interested organization has the opportunity to apply for this award. We have received a tremendous response already and the committee and the AAMS community are really looking forward to hearing from other operators in our industry to see what advancements have been made since 2009.”

All programs and operators who are members of the Association of Air Medical Service (AAMS) are eligible to apply, and may nominate themselves.
