Vector Aerospace Helicopter Services-North America (Vector -www.vectoraerospace.com) is pleased to announce it has been awarded Turbomeca Engine Corporation (Turbomeca) approval for full repair and overhaul on the Arriel 2 engine. Under the terms of the licensing agreement, Vector can now provide operators in North America (including Mexico) comprehensive Arriel 2 engine repair and overhaul support, including full test capability.
John MacDougall, Vector’s senior vice-president of sales and marketing is extremely confident that the new approval will be an asset for Arriel 2 operators throughout Vector’s new territory. “We are extremely pleased with the confidence Turbomeca has placed in us through the issuance of this license. Based on
this new approval, Vector will now increase the current levels of maintenance and overhaul support offered for the Arriel 2B, 2B1, 2C, 2C1, 2C2, 2S1 and 2S2 series of engines,” says MacDougall.  “This means Turbomeca-powered helicopter operators have another reliable and industry-proven service provider to meet their engine repair and overhaul requirements. The upgrade of our engine test cell will be complete by early October, so we’re ready to address all customer requirements and working diligently to ensure we deliver superior quality and customer satisfaction in each and every transaction.”
Vector’s confidence in its ability to provide best-in-class repair, overhaul and test support for the Arriel 2 engine is backed by its more than 20 years experience as a Turbomeca approved MRO service provider supporting the Arriel 1 engine in North America; with the addition of South America in 2010.
