Life Star of Kansas takes delivery of AW119Ke

AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce that the entry into service of an AW119Ke helicopter with Life Star of Kansas was marked at a ceremony held at the Air Medical Transport Conference in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The helicopter, based in Junction City, Kansas, is now in service and is being used for medical transport missions.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lou Bartolotta, Executive Vice President of Sales for North America said, “Serving the State of Kansas since 1988, Life Star has an exceptional record of service. AgustaWestland is pleased to be a part of their team.” Life Star Program Director Greg Hildenbrand said, “We selected the AW119Ke because it is the best value, best performance helicopter for our mission. The cornerstone of Life Star’s mission is to provide the highest quality care in a safe manner. With this new platform, we will continue to fulfill this mission with expanded capability and improved performance.”

The AW119 Koala enhanced is a spacious 8 seat single engine helicopter developed to strengthen safety and provide high productivity and performance at a competitive price. The large unobstructed cabin permits rapid re-configuration for a variety of emergency medical services missions.
