Aviation Specialties Unlimited (ASU) announced this week that they received a contract to complete cockpit modifications on three AS350s for the Phoenix Police Department. Phoenix has a population of more than 1.6 million people and is larger in square miles than Los Angeles. Phoenix is the fifth largest city in the United States and the largest capital city in the U.S. Phoenix has 8 precincts.

“Phoenix is a growing, thriving metropolitan area,” said Mike Atwood Founder and President of ASU. “There are terrain differences, power lines, towers and other obstacles that can pose threats for flying at night. Modifying the AS350 cockpits will aid the Phoenix Police Department with their ability to fly at night using state-of-the art equipment. We are thrilled to be able to help them with these modification.”

ASU has already completed one of the three aircraft and expects to complete the modification of all three AS350s by the end of the month.
