From Monday November 1st, passengers travelling Virgin Atlantic Upper Class and entitled to a chauffeur-driven car, can utilise a special helicopter transfer service when travelling in and out of Tokyo.

Passengers will be picked up and taken to the heli pad, then the helicopter will fly them into Tokyo central where a chauffeur-driven car will carry them to their final destination. The transfer is also available when travelling back to Narita airport.

The total journey time is 30 minutes with a flight time of 11 minutes. Narita airport is approximately 75km from central Tokyo and transfer by train takes about 70 minutes (slightly longer by car), so this is a much faster service.

While several other carriers offer helicopter transfer free for First passengers, Virgin will be the only Airline to offer this service both ways for all passengers travelling in Business Class.

Passengers will be offered the helicopter option when making their transfer reservation.
