Sloane Helicopters is pleased to announce that it is providing one A109 Power EMS to Magpas, the Emergency Medical Charity, for the Magpas Helimedix to fill in an operational gap into the Air Ambulance services operating from RAF Wyton. The aircraft is equipped with the standard EMS factory fit and with customised oxygen and radio systems. The provision includes pilotage services as well as one medical crewmember for a duration of 5 days.
The aircraft, whose registration is G-MEDX, was issued the operational call-sign of Helimed 85 and has already been tasked by the East of England Ambulance Service.
“We are very pleased that MAGPAS selected our services even for this short term requirement and we already have a positive feedback from all involved in the operation†said Jeremy Awenat, Managing Director of Sloane Helicopters.
“The A109 Power EMS is an extremely capable helicopter, with a unique combination of operational performance and clinical adequacy to the demanding requirements of any Air Ambulance operation. The Power can land and take off from any type of terrain; the loading and offloading of the stretcher are particularly easy to be carried out; its spacious interiors allow the medical crew to have access to the whole body of the patient and the tail boom offers 1 cubic meter of storage space for all carry and loose equipment†added Giorgio Bendoni, Sales and Marketing Director of Sloane Helicopters.
